Turning radius list
« on: November 01, 2013, 06:09:14 AM »
Salute all

A couple months back there was a link to a file that had all the turning radius information for all aircraft.  I have searched every way I can think of but to no avail.  Can somebody please direct me to it?

Thanks

Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.

just a note:
dont take the numbers there too seriously. Each plane achieves his best turn radius/rate at a different speed and at a different degree of controllability. In practice, the conditions almost never match those in the test data and fights are almost never made of sustained turns on a common circle.

They do 1v1. I can't count the number of times people do nothing but flat turn. Happens all the time. Infact a lazy way to dominate every DA session is too memorize optimum turn speed of every plane, and do nothing but flat turn.

Even when both sides flat turn in the same direction it is not a one-circle fight the way most people imagine. Usually it will take at least 2 full circles before they settle into roughly concentric and sustained circles.

Flat turn in most cases is not the best move and if your opponent cannot do anything except flat turn, you don't need any list to defeat them.

Please do not suggest memorizing lists and flat turning as a strategy because noobs sometimes read these forums. Then they are shocked as planes from the bottom of the list defeat their turny spit/nik/ki in a turn.
