There are two things that really annoy me (and annoy is too strong of a word, really) about the players in AH. First, those quick to sling the "haxor" claim against anyone just because they were bested. Second, those players who cry foul when their tank gets sent back to tower by another tank for whatever reason.
Example on #2: A countryman was in a tank, he was hitting an enemy tank time and time again and his rounds were bouncing off. After about the 5th hit and corresponding ricochet, I hear the proverbial "Thats BS, thats wrong!" I usually ask three questions of any countrymen when I hear this exclamation. I ask "What are you in, what is your target, and what is the range?" In this specific example I hear this: "I'm in an M4/76, I'm shooting at a Panther, and range is just over 2000 yards." I quickly replied "and that is why, you are no threat to the Panther at that range. Move up to at least 1600 yards and get as square as you can to the front or side." I usually go on further to explain that range and angle of impact means everything while tanking. The angle of impact is the most important (I've seen tank round deflect off the M18 and it is quit possible thanks to a less than X impact angle). If the round cant utilize its energy to defeat the armor thanks to a very shallow impact angle then AP ability is moot. Also, the heavier the round the less likely for a clean deflect. The physicists in here can elaborate on those equations, I can barely count my fingers and toes.
KNOW the ability of the tank you're in. KNOW how angle of impact works. KNOW the ability of your armor. From there, your aim (and ability to correct your aim) is all that matters.
