Where are you on the Map?
« on: January 11, 2014, 02:33:01 PM »
Hello, Folks,

When you ask for help at a base in the arenas it would be of great assistance to other players if you added the grid coordinates (sector) to your request.

The reason for this is so that other players who are in flight already can assess whether they can be of assistance, or not, and do not have to scroll all throughout the map to find the base where you need assistance only to find they are on the opposite side of the map from you.

For example, evaluate these calls for help on a large map:

 1) Need help at A123! Lot's of cons...!

 2) Need help at A123, sector 13,5...Lot's of cons...!

If I was already in flight, which call gives me immediate information to determine whether or not I can be of assistance when checking my map?

...just something to think about...

:-)

Use the .sf dot command to center map on the base in question:   .sf 123  :old:

I think the .sf command is relatively new.  Very handy though, I use it all the time.
