My lady friend is from England, her mother has us over for boxing day. we pull apart "crackers", a heavy paper tube with a small noise making fire cracker in the center. two people each pull a end and the tube splits with a bang. inside is a paper crown to wear, a toy, and a joke. Its a good day! food, drink, friends, fun.
