Night raids on A21 and A19
« on: December 25, 2013, 05:48:09 AM »
Oh wow.  That was awesome.  :x

The Duxford boys and myself lifted from A30 I think it was in a Jug raid on A21. As we lifted, the sun went down and it got very dark. This was just awesome, a night raid!
We dove on 21 Town and flattened it with our ord. Several Nits upped and became right pains in the neck :joystick: Valiant defence guys  :salute

After 3 dead goons, we finally managed to sneak one through and capture the base.  :rock

With the darkness, we could not resist the temptation. So we lifted a dam busters style low level LANC raid on A19.
It was an awesome spectacle. I had the dam busters theme running through my head throughout.  Another hand full of nits upped and defended  :salute

As luck would have it, other rooks had decided to make a run on A19 and had a goon outside of town. The moment our carpet bombing white flagged the down and dealt with the last gun, he let his troops go!

With the darkness, that was some of the best fun I have had on AH since I joined.   :x

 :salute To one and all.

I would love night time but people do not know how to calibrate their monitors and change is bad :(
only a moron would use Dolby positioning in a game.

you arent the only one that can "calibrate"  monitors to make night look like day.  yup we know how to do that.

Calibrating is not turning gamma up to highest setting :P

So you're saying that your monitor is "calibrated" properly if it makes the night sky appear bright? Tell us more about the night sky in your part of the world!  :lol

I would love night time but people do not know how to circumvent low light conditions for an advantage on their monitors and change is bad :(

I can't understand what you're arguing about! Apparently it is summer in AH: there's no snow or yellow leaves, no springtime light green grass...  This is what it looks like here at night in June-July, no gamma adjusted:

No A monitor is calibrated properly if it makes night look like night. Only on no moon nights can you not see anything. Once your eyes adjust to the darkness its rather easy to see in a full moon. In aces high we always have full moons...People just unpack their monitor and set gamma to 1.0 and expect it to work lol.

Y'all are funny, if their is a concept you don't know about you think the concept is fake lol...

edit:  I would like to add one more thing to your comment about seeing in the dark.  if you are in the dark, your eyes will become accustomed to it and see better.  up until when you light a match, or some other light shines in your eyes, then you become temporarily unable to see in the dark.  until your eyes become accustomed to the dark again.  that doesnt happen in aces high.  I am pretty sure explosions, mg fire, cannon fire have no effect whatsoever in your "night vision".
