Trans Siberian orchestra
« on: December 30, 2013, 12:08:42 PM »
Wow! Im still freaking from seeing them the other night. Its nice to know there is still original music being made.

Loud tho, and the techno show is awesome. Really non stop energy, it reminded me more of a big time rock band from the '70s. Most of the crowd looked 50yo or older.

Tho Im to old for these kind of concerts I'm glad I went, Ive been wanting to see them for many years. Highly recommend the show.

I was in the club seats above this guy, best TSO performance yet, by far.  I've seen them 5 or 6 times now.

I saw them on Nov 24. Gotta say they put on a hell of a show. Music sounded great, the lights were freaking awesome, and that violinist, wow!!!

Only thing was, I wish they could have a been a bit louder lol. I was jammin out that's for sure!

It was Paul Oneil, the producer of the metal band Savatage that came up with the concept. I saw them in Atlanta this past November, and thought I enjoyed the show as always,I won't be going back. There was a violin player onstage with the guitarists that never took a solo, wasn't introduced as a member of the band, and whos left hand fingers never moved on the fingerboard. He was faking it. As a classically trained musician in orchestra since 71,and having played in rock bands since the late 70's,I was offended that they had someone on stage pretending to play an instrument. So they lost me as a fan.
Don't try and outweird me.I get stranger things than you free in my breakfast cereal!

Well I was expecting more songs sung by female leads. I know at one time the band had 3 strong female leads, real lookers with blonde manes. I only saw one at the concert, tho from what I understand there are two traveling groups playing in different cities. Still a great show. The one female keyboardist, I forget her name, was really jamming. Im glad I went but no there wont be a second time. It was just to freaking loud and the venue was packed like a sardine can.
