WinXP SP2 or Windows7
« on: January 03, 2014, 05:09:27 PM »
Coming back to the game in the near future after a 2.5 year hiatus, using the same machine. Wondering which operating system I'd be better off re-installing on my machine.
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

windows XP is pretty much a thing of the past now. Go with windows 7 in my opinion.

If it's a 64 bit processor and has 4 GB of RAM or more, Windows 7.  Otherwise stick with XP SP2.

So it has an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400. Is that 64 bit compatible? I wouldn't mind going with Windows 7 and installing a better graphics card and more memory if I can.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.
