Schwalbe bomber version
« on: February 09, 2014, 08:45:20 AM »
During WWII, The 262 was fitted of 2 bombs, with 2 of the 4 cannons removed as free weight was needed.

Even if it wasnt an accurate bombing machine, many 262s were used for this purpose (especially on big targets)

This addition in AH should be a plus !

The Schwalbe, being the Me262A1, was never equipped with bombs. The variant you are thinking of is the Me262A2 "Sturmvogel" was the version equipped with bombs, and this model isn't even in AH. However, the Schwalbe was equipped with the 24 55cm underwing rockets.

If you want to bring a good bomb load in jet take Ar234 - much better in this role - it has a bomb site giving it an ability to bomb outside the AAA range.
