Also that's not a British ship unless they've donned Krigsmarine uniforms and commandeered a Deutschland class pocket battleship! ;)

I hope it wasn't a British ship because it looked like B-25s bombing it.

I spit out my coffee when I read someone speaking of La7's "escorting" TU-2's.

Silly goof.   :lol

btw.... that is an impressive piece of advertisement. Like many, I know that the modeling and game play is rather... lacking.

Well get another mouthful of that coffee cause if you look at the Homepage you'll note that AH is about to release a Tu-2. Yes, L-gays escorting some goofy looking Commy version of a 110. Oh yeah, A5 fodder.

I think you missed my point.  I was poking fun of the La7's range.  The Tu-2 wont be any more cannon fodder for the 190x than the He111 is fodder for the [insert any aircraft here including the B5N].  I'm just glad to have a level Soviet bomber, I think HTC made a wise choice to add the TU-2 over the Pe-2.

wise choice ?? Approx 1,000 Tu-2's were built till the end of the war vs 11,000+ of Pe-2's. Tu-2 has never been used as a dive bomber during the war. Guess what will happen in MA when people get their hands on this fast and durable bomber with 3 x 1000 kg bombs... Be ready for the next level of stupidity.

I don't think it was really a question between Pe-2 and Tu-2, more like a question between A-26 and Tu-2. Tu-2 is a great new MA-toy and Pe-2 would be an awesome addition for Special Events.

I'm not sold on the idea that HTC is going to add the A-26 anytime soon.  With their track record of late they've been doing a very good job at plugging holes in the plane set and getting more historical planes in to the game.  I'm not convinced the A26 will enter in before the Wellington, Ki-100, Beaufighter, Ki-45 'Nick", MiG-3, or a number of other planes.  I bet we see a remodeled Ju88, A20/Boston, SBD, and who know what else before we see the A26.

Regarding the Pe-2, I'm not convinced that it have added much for the Soviets in the MA.  The Pe-2 had no offensive guns to speak of, and carried 3000-3500 lbs of bombs depending on variant.  In short, it would be similar to taking a Mossi or 110 to a target, but with no guns, and another 1000 lbs of ordnance.  Speeds were similar to the Mossi and 110.  Some sources say it was a level bomber, but most say it was used as a shallow dive bomber.  Who knows where manouverability would end up, I'm guessing not as well as the Mossi or 110 but that is just speculation.

Eventually, I do hope to see the Pe-2.  It was certainly a cornerstone in the Soviet air force in WWII and it deserves, without a doubt, to be in AH.  The same can't be said for the A26, imo.

I'm pleased that games like World of Tanks and War Thunder-mug Heros are out there. While I believe it may draw some attention away from HTC in the short term, it will also give a new generation enjoyment of a WWII genre that hasn't seen new activity in a few years.

In the long term, this may net HTC more subscribers. I'd also like to see HTC give people that come from those games a perk of some kind of encourage them to come over in large numbers.

The trailer . . . meh.  It is pretty in some ways, but unrealistic in lots of ways that detract, and a bunch of slow-motion of people's faces.

War Thunder is probably good for AH.  I can't imagine WT being the cause of anyone leaving AH, and maybe AH will appeal to some WT players who decide they want to graduate to the elite world of realism.  Also, if WT dies at some point, AH might be able to pick up the refugees.

The cruiser commander or gunnery officer spittle from yelling fire (why would he be at the railing to do that?) and the eventual pan out to the sailor nest to him, stricken with horror over the incoming bombs from bombers the cruiser didn't seem concerned over, was kinda cool.
