End of an Era.................................
« on: February 05, 2014, 05:51:42 PM »
Well the time had to come......................... .....

As of this morning I finally pulled the plug on the old Abit IP35 Pro mobo equipped system that I had bought back in 4-3-08 & had put in the wife's box after I upgraded my gaming box that I had then to the EVGA 780i FTW mobo on 12-12-08.

Replaced it w/ an Asus P8Z77-M mobo equipped w/ an Intel I5 3470 CPU using the Intel Intergrated Graphics & moved her from Win XP SP3 to Win 7 HP SP1 64-bit OS.

The Abit board was a true trooper..............never gave me any trouble over the last 5+ yrs. RIP Abit......................... .

The sun has finally set on the C2D socket 775 stuff in Pudgie Land......................... ....

I would get a discrete graphics card for that CPU and you will fly at higher resolution at higher frame rates/better graphics.

Integrated graphics suck at higher resolutions..
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.
"And the Yak 3 ,aka the "flying Yamato"..."
