Icon colors
« on: January 31, 2014, 04:33:49 PM »
I have played the game years and i play on two different computers. Same Account. But On each computer my settings are IDENTICAL and at random times some fonts and icons turn white no matter what they are set as. Also the player blips on my map are WAY to small no matter what i do. GUI has no effect

If your computer has an Intel video chip, it will cause render problems with the icons.  Nothing we really can do about that one.  If not an Intel video chip, then what does it have?  A DXDIAG output would be helpful.

The blips on the clipboard are one pixel in size.  The size of those will be fixed by the physical single pixel size of your monitor.  There is nothing you can change there.

If you change your resolution to 800x600 you'll have bigger pixels.

"hurt" is up to you. Only takes a minute to switch and you can check it out to see if you like it better

No, you can't change the chip. It's soldered in place. What you might be able to do is to is to get a gaming dedicated video card if your computer is a desktop. Laptops with built-in Intel video chips aren't really meant for gaming except for solitaire.

Changing the resolution will change your pixel size, but with the cost of clarity. The game looks best at the native resolution of your monitor. So the most viable solution for bigger pixels is a bigger monitor with the same resolution as your current one has. Simplified, if your current monitor is a 20" full-HD, it has 1920 vertical pixels and 1080 horizontal pixels. Exactly the same amount as a 60" television. Since the amount of pixels is the same in both, the pixels must be much bigger on the tv. Also, if the amount of pixel doesn't change, the load for the video card will remain the same, making no difference in the FPS.
