Footage of B29 "Bock's Car" being loaded and in flight

Pretty interesting footage, especially how the loaded the large bomb, by backing the aircraft over a pit it was lowered into, and then hoisted and attached.

Interesting footage as well, I make no political or social statements, and hope nobody else does as well, it's just a part of aviation history, and an important part IMO.  The fact that such a comparatively small warhead to what is in use now sends a cloud up over 25 thousand feet - astonishing, and frightening, both simultaneously.  There are lots of little interesting factoids that pop up in the video, I found the deceptive markings on the B29's an interesting tidbit, to try and protect the nuclear armed aircraft from Japanese interceptors.

Politicizing events of the past is an exercise in futility. This is great footage of a "game changing" event in not only aviation history and warfare history but also in the timeline of human existence in its entirety. As such our view of this event must be conducted with an unbiased observation of what it was regardless of what feelings it may stir in us.

Thank you for posting this.  :aok
Fighter pilots win glory .... Bomber pilots win wars.
