Thoughts on intro to Super Bowl
« on: February 02, 2014, 05:34:23 PM »
First, I have to say I really enjoyed Queen Latifah's song. I grow very weary of the butchering of patriot songs. In my mind it shows very little respect for the sacrifices represented by the same.

Second, the very patriotic reading of the Declaration of Independence was great. It seems that mainstream TV and the entertainment world prefer to mock these values.

the queen latifah part was fine, at least she didn't butcher it with "artistic translation"...could have done without the rest.

I'm not an American but the Declaration of Independence is one of my favorite documents to read.

The game was a bit of a shambles though.
