Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

When the game is over, the Kings and Pawns all go into the same box.

Grimlock looks badass, but if there's anyone that can @#$% up a movie featuring a giant robotic Tyrannosaurus it's Michael Bay.

2 and 3 were godawful messes.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

what were you looking for, meaningful dramatic dialogue? anyone who can't watch an action/adventure movie and just enjoy it for what it is should stick with soap operas.

Good for you being able to appreciate the cinematic equivalent of Angry Birds.

I LOVE me some mindless action, but for some reason 3 really rubbed me the wrong way.  2 did in spots as well, but it was still mostly enjoyable to me.

I don't know.  I pathologically hate Laboeuf, so this one has that going for it...  Also, I always liked the Dinobots.  It'll get watched.

So what, an action movie can't have a solid storyline and characters you actually give a crap about without being a soap opera? Are movies like The Wolverine too touchy-feely for you?

lol, the storylines were exactly what sane people expect from fictitious action/adventure movies, a small amount of character history scattered throughout, some extra hollywood splash, and a lot of death and destruction. not a bunch of in depth character study so you know why the 2 old people died holding each other. you sound like you want to know how kal-el's parents got together then got pregnant. or do you really need to know why bruce wayne's parents decided to walk home from the theater instead of having the chauffeur take them home?
