Wirble sights reset
« on: February 06, 2014, 05:21:45 PM »
My warble sights are off. And I don't know how to put it back to the default. If I can put it back to the default, I believe I can redo the sights so that my monitor dot (dot on a piece of tape) will once again be accurate.

A little over a year ago some fellow Knight told me how to put tape on the screen in five places, draw the four corners and the center of the sight and then page up a couple times to get the view looking over that horrendous metal box and hit F10 to set the view. Its off now (I believe) because I accidently hit F10 at the wrong time and I now have TrackIR5 working. Would like to reset it.

Thanks for your help!

I believe it's the "Home" key to rest your views back to default.

C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High\settings\planes\wrblwnd00.hps

Delete that hps file. Then start the game. The file will be regenerated to a first time head position view. Once in the game, up your wirbel and hit Ctrl_F5 to turn off TrackIR. Then redo your views. Ctrl_F1 turns back on TrackIR. Or this will blow your mind if you want to get frisky and edit your hps file. Just change the top line back to all zeros in the format you see, hit Ctrl_F5 and reset your front view.

But the OP just asked how to reset views to default, which the Home key does.

The home key just changes the top line back to all zeros before hitting F10 to save said zeros to the same file. All of the player client GUI preference settings are saved to editable flat files in the settings folder and a few others.

The home key can reset any line, look at the view you wish to default, press home while holding view, press F10
