Firefox problem

Ive had a few blue screen crashes while browsing in FireFox. I was wondering if this ever happened to anyone else here? The last time I had a few warning screens that closed down the browser and then BAM! I just hope its firefox and Im not in a boot cycle type problem. Thanks

I had a problem a couple of months ago with Firefox locking up my computer but that stopped when I updated to the latest version.

I've managed to solve many problems with Firefox by resetting it: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems. There has been occasions, though, that Firefox won't stay up long enough for the reset. In those rare cases either installing the latest version over the existing one or a semi-clean reinstall have helped. By semi-clean I mean not to delete all settings when asked during the uninstall procedure.

Flash rhymes with Crash for a reason...

The flash player is a buggy POS that is one of the greatest security risks you can install to your computer. At least install noscript to block any unwanted flash applications from running.

Yeah I do a full delete/wipe every time I do an install. Thanks. And flash is a true POS.

Here's the one I hate, and see all the time:

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

I think Flash installed something, a dll, and I haven't taken time to track it down.

That's been happening to me after the last update.  The last update fixed Firefox locking up and crashing my system only but now I get the "Shockwave has stopped responding" error message.  Updating Flash hasn't fixed the problem either.

I actually had a similar problem with Firefox when watching videos (mostly occurring with Youtube). The Graphics driver would stop responding and most of the time Windows 7 will catch it and restart the driver, but rarely it would BSOD. Interestingly enough it was just a dud driver version as updating or downgrading it fixed that problem.

Now if I can only solve those pesky 'once every blue moon' BSOD from my wireless driver and all will be well.
