TexasFighter, what version of the TrackIR software are you running?  The latest version needs admin privileges, and if you don't have them for the folder the config file is in, it always defaults back to the default profile.  Also, have you made sure that your custom profile is set for Aces High on the game list?

You can associate a particular profile with a particular game in the software. From the main screen, in the left pane click on "Titles", look for Aces High in the list and select the profile you want to use for Aces High. I'm guessing you haven't done this and it'll revert back to the default profile.

I still don't have TrackIR 5 working well enough to use in the MA. I have a problem with TrackIR going back to the default profile every time I go into AH. Of course I can change the default profile to match the custom one I made for my new Clip Pro. I'd rather not. Is there something I'm not doing that causes TrackIR 5 to go back to default everytime?

I think I have my custom profile where I want it but cant test it out in AH because of the default reset problem.
Thanks again for all the help!

Because I use the TrackIR for one and only one program, Aces High, I tweaked the default profile, and then selected "exclusive"...

Thanks guys! Got that problem solved so my custom profile is working. However, I think my custom profile is too aggressive and not "curved" effectively. Does someone have a aggressive TrackIR 5 profile that is still smooth enough to prevent the view jumping around and is willing to share it? I backed off the speed to 1.2 but that is not solving the jumping or snapping view problem so I think its the curves themselves that is the problem.

Don't be afraid to go below one on the Speed slider.
Where is your "Smooth" slider set?  Too far to the right and you can over load your computer so instead of smoothing the view flops.

How is Trackir performing in the Trackir grid display without AH running?

No fun for Mongo... :cry :cry :cry. My software crashes almost always (CTD) at the start. Tried the v4 version and crashes less but still not good. Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate with 32 gigs ram, GTX 690. Funny thing is FreeTrack crashes a lot too. Any other software runs well. Any advise is welcome.

Smooth slider is set to 20. Trackir seems to perform ok in the grid display except for the view to the left and back. I do have my ClipPro on the right side of my head. I believe that has a lot to do with the fact that the left view doesn't work so good. I can now look back to my 6 on the left side but with difficulty. I have to do it really slow and carefully. Otherwise the view seems to go vertical ... way up or way down (so I am looking at the inside of the cockpit). Also, when I am in the training arena flying around the base, at least once per flight the view gums up so I can't look back past 90 degrees at all. At that point I just start using the keypad views.

F10 head position

Ok, tonight I have a different problem than I have had before. While flying practice using TrakIR, I accidently hit 10. Now my head position is set way too low. I don't know how to fix this because I cant get my head position higher in order to reset the head position. Is there a way to reset head position for TrakIR or go back to default?
Thanks!
