It's a movie. It's purpose is to entertain not to get every single fact right. Yeah I noticed some things, but it kept me interested.

Clooney fan, no surprise there.

Really, you guys expect and ask this group of actors to render you something impressive? This group probably couldn't tell you what was significant about Dresden, where Dacau is, what Ploesti was, the significance of Downing Street, what operation Overlord was...let alone explain something like the complexities of the Ribbontrop Molotov pact.

The days of actors with cajones is gone, it's money not the tale! Hail John Wayne and Lee Marvin's of their time, unfortunately this generation's actors is poo (as Zack would say,) for the most part.

I agree with you there Rot. Tom Hanks/Steven Spielberg may have done a better job but that neither here nor there. Film making doesn't seem to be much of a craft anymore.

 I read the books but have not got around to seeing the movie yet. The book was very good.
