PSA: Fraud alert
« on: February 22, 2014, 11:13:03 PM »
For the first time in over a decade of friendships with, probably hundreds of squaddies... I feel compelled to alert this community to an ongoing fraud being perpetuated by a member, who is also a (former) member of **Elite**.

I'm also posting to investigate whether this has happened before in the AH community, in case it's the same individual.

If you have been solicited for money by a player in this game recently, please pm me for details. DO NOT send him money.

Better yet, if you think someone actually committed wire fraud, report it to the FBI. Present them with the evidence and let them do their job, you will get much better results then posting on a BBS.

I have no personal financial interest, nor do I care to chase down an internet scammer in a foreign country. This post is a warning to this community that there is a brazen con artist amongst us. Take if for what you will.

That's the great thing about using the FBI, they do all the chasing. If you actually have evidence by all means go to the authorities.  Otherwise stop posting rumors.

Sure Traveler, they'll jump all over this one, along with that Nigerian Prince that keep e-mailing me. :bhead

I'm of the opinion that our community should be given a heads-up. I don't like to see good people taken advantage of. You're entitled to disagree, so feel free to continue to bump this thread to the top ;)
