Why would they? 

Zack is a salt of the earth type, he runs a small mammal rescue centre and rehomes lost hedgehogs.

Despite his gruff and surly exterior he does Santa every year for the local care homes. The pies are required to expand his girth and make the outfit more authentic

Last year he won a badge for helping some old biffer trip over, spilling all the gear the geriatric fart had stolen from Tesco. Zack was as modest as ever, even as he claimed the can of "All Day Breakfast" had been his all along, and simply dropped in the scuffle

I think the man showed class by posting his TY openly. "Class" is something you apparently lack.

Sadly its a dissapearing code nowadays.

I have a great deal of class. As a programmer, I incorporate several into my code every day.

Zack is awesome and a really nice person, even though he let his stuffed gay dog ben join the Few......His penchant to wear rubber long johns for all occasions is not seen as a negative by anyone in the community......(please note that whoever stole them off the line in his back yard needs to return them quick as he has nothing else to wear.......

Nothing wrong with a public acknowledgement highlighting another person from the community.  If anyone wants to know what it is for, then it pretty trivial to ask them.

Much rather see these types of posts than the ones making every attempt to treat others as derogatory as possible.
