A salute to a brave task handily untertaken
« on: March 08, 2014, 09:25:08 PM »
I have to go on record and recommend the  367th Dynamite Gang to be award a  Unit Distinguished Service Flying Cross (albeit Posthumously...) For Gallantry and Bravery in the face of insurmountable odds for the needs of the mission and to protection of their fellow wing mates! :rock

These undisputedly brave souls volunteered to provide themselves as bait in order to distract our Axis defenders at A13 long enough for the rest of their strike package to effectively accomplish the mission of complete and utter destruction of said target.  Which would have probably not have occurred save for their heroic and fatal exercise.  You gentlemen will go into the history books as heroes!

LCA - Sorry bout the rearranged landscape.  I bet you guys HAVE to have one of those Japanese gardeners on hand.  Maybe he can get Y'all started on something smaller you can move, like bonsai :bolt:

From the logs it looks as if LCA rearanged the landscape with P-38s and B25s they shot down falling all over the place. I don't think you need a gardner Hightone, you need a scrap dealer to sale all the Lockheed and North American parts to. That ought keep Coyote in sakai for a while.  ;)

Oh yes, they did rack up quite a collection.  Very worthy opponents.  To be totally honest they had no way of stopping that steamroller we had thrown at them.  They couldn't carry enough ammo.  They darn sure tried...
