Pink Ribbonwalk training starting next week!
« on: March 12, 2014, 03:33:30 PM »
Tomorrow is my last day at work before I retire - and next week I will be starting 12 weeks of training for a 10-mile walk on 7 June! I am taking part in a Pink Ribbonwalk at Leeds Castle in Kent and hopefully raising money for Breast Cancer Care at the same time. If anyone would like to sponsor me for this great cause, I have a JustGiving page set up - http://www.justgiving.com/Helen-Lister1953. This should also help me to lose more weight!   :aok

  Good for you Flossy! :aok

My wife missed last years walk, first time in 15 years she hasnt done it but she had a good reason. She's a 25 year plus survivor but it reared it's ugly head again in a different location so this is why she didnt make the walk.  She plans on doing it this year, come hell or high water as he says!

Hope she is OK now, morfiend!  This will be my first walk, but hopefully not the last!  Maybe I'll make the 20-mile walk next year, especially if I have lost a lot more weight by then?  Good luck to your wife!  :-)
