Yes, he would, until he called us and we checked and found a call for those reports.  At that time, we would unsuspend the player, and then suspend every player who issued the reports.

That right there ^^^^^^.  It is actually a lot easier just to be nice.  The game becomes more fun, the overall community spirit improves and maybe a new player does not quit because he finds out he has entered a playground for bullies.  It's embarrassing.  I cannot even talk to outsiders who I meet about the game because then "I am guilty by association".

Agreed.  I now just block comms from the few guys who behave poorly and my enjoyment has increased exponentially.  I get to play so infrequently that when I'm on I want it to be a great place.

I thought this community was pretty tame.  Have you taken a look at other games lately?  AH has some of the most respectful players in it...I don't find harm in
some harmless ribbing now and then, it is a competitive game.

Well there's harmless ribbing and then there's personal attacks from guys like Rumal.  I guess I don't get ribbed so much as personally attacked via pm or vox.  I'm pretty good at laughing it off but at times it's annoying.  If there was much more of that behavior I'd quit logging on.

Why is there a need to force mass-muted players to prove their innocence?  99% don't know to call the office and ask for a review.  Why couldn't a mass report generate a PM to the Mod that is playing and let them make the call?

That's one of the reasons they're there.  Why not?  It keeps Skuzzy from fielding the phone call and that, in turn keeps him from working on things I can play with.

Based on the sheer number of posts about being muted on the BBS, I'd say that's a poor assumption.
