Barbarian uranium mines? Come on!
« on: March 18, 2014, 12:16:44 AM »
So I've been concentrating on the fighting at my borders when I see "a barbarian giant death robot has destroyed a mine". Imagine my horror when I look to see this, my capital encircled by barbarian giant death robots! You need uranium to build giant death robots, when did barbarians start mining uranium? Come on people!

One of my favorite games. I love when I have all sorts of stuff I need to do, but get sucked into a 14 hour civvie marathon.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

You are el buttered!

Love that game as well, though I always end the game in 1945 as I am not keen on the future tech, prefer WW2 stuff. Best thing was commiting Pearl Harbour on one of my allies...

They weren't impressed

End result for me was about the same as the Japanese at Pearl Harbour

He still playing Civ 2.

To the OP, I stopped playing with the Barbarians when I realized that they don't follow unit movement rules.

Actually I'm pretty sure that was a rebellion. I forgot that the game labels rebel units as barbarian.

Civ 5 is a good game, I do miss the ability to change the tax rates etc... of the earlier versions of the game. Also, the game always played out having 2 or 3 super-powers. It lacked the balancing feature of Civ 1 & 2 where if the capital was taken, the massive civ fell into a civil war.

Civilization 3 was the best one in retrospect.

Although, this is impressive.

Nebuchadnezzar is awesome.

"Those idiots out there think I'm a god."

And the best line of the game "Are you real or just a phantom of my tortured senses?" Burnnn!  :lol
