OK, even though I have had many wonderful hours of fun playing AH, I didn't realize they have, what I would call a unfair policy if and when you have to cancel your subscription.

I had to cancel my subscription, temporarily for money reasons, being retired and on a fixed income, I need to carefully pick where my monthly money goes, and in April the Feds needed 1400 dollars of that money.

I still had 7 days left on my subscription, but HTC has a policy (I didn't know), that once you end your subscription, no matter how much time you have already paid for they won't let you play.

I would say this is unfair and close to stealing a customer's money.

The game warns you if you cancel your account with remaining time on the subscription.

What your leaving out is that it warned you, it makes you aware that your account has x number of days remaining on it when you cancel your subscription.

Why would it warn you about time remaining on your account when canceling a subscription if it was still going to give you access afterwords.

You canceled your account 7 days to early and then come here and complain, gtf outta here.

The game does warn you about it and if you call in, we also warn you about it.  If you send us an email to delete your account, we send an email back making sure it is understood when it is deleted, it is closed instantly.

We do our best to leave it up to the player to make an informed decision.

I there a way for players in similar situations to put their account on hold like stopping home mail service when you are out of town?  Might help someone going through a bad patch.

You call and/or email them.

Just stop paying for food, works for me.

Ask them to stop withdrawing funds as of such-n-such date since you need to cancel your account.  Works every time.

If you leave an amusement park after a certain time (posted on signs) they no longer stamp your hand for re-admission.  You paid for the whole day and you're stuck in the parking lot.  Did they steal your money too?

My wish is that they could somehow put an account on "hold"--not allowing a player into the online arenas until they resume pay.  I know absolutely nothing about the coding and all the work that goes into the game, but that doesn't seem like it would be a difficult task.  Under the current system, if you can't pay for your account for a month, or decide to take a break for a few months, you have to cancel your account, which means you lose all squad affiliations and perk points.  I, for one, take a lot of breaks from AH, and it becomes a nuisance having to basically start over every time I decide to come back.

On multiple occasions.  I've always been told there was currently no way to put an account on hold.

But if you could do that much more of us would stop paying for a month or two ,and keep all our perks and ect. HTC would rather you just keep paying.
