The only other CV AC that has 4 20 mils, the F4U-1C, is perked for a reson, CV attacks would mainly consist of them otherwise. For this reson HTC MAY perk it.
SB2C had two 20mm cannons, not four.  You need a Firefly to get another with four.

Well, look at the success with the Tu-2 and it's not perked!

Another one would be the La-5N - it has 2 cannons and not perked...

There is no way the SB2C would be a perk plane.  The idea is absurd.

Hehe, from what I head, pilots that converted to the SB2C wanted their SBDs back :)

Yeah, the early marks suffered from horrible handling characteristics. It took until the -3 and -4 before they finally got the kinks worked out.

My grandfather used to talk about how he would have taken his Vought Vindicator back instead of the Son of a Beetch 2nd Class let alone the his beloved Dauntless but ...he did say that after they received the later dash variants it started to grow on him a bit. He was eventually impressed with the amount of damage it could absorb and get him back aboard his carrier but he never really fell in love with its handling.

The beast? 7000 units produced, many "targets" destroyed ( though I'm highly skeptical of those who say it destroyed the most Japanese targets of any warbird -the problem lying in the definition of target)... It clearly qualifies under the criteria of the game. I don't want to fly it but I'd love to try to smash one to bits with a George or hayate. It'd be a real challenge to try to kill one with an Oscar.

Which it didn't. The only US weapon that sunk more tonnage than the Dauntless was the submarine.

And that's part of the reason... If tonnage is the yardstick, dauntless. If it's square footage of city made uninhabitable, or building count, for that matter, ni-kyu-ju, as they called it. That claim was in wiki, and I'd want to examine the Metric they based it on . Sounds shammy...

Here's a picture of a SB2C-3 doing a fly by near the IJN cruiser Kashima at Jaluit Atoll in the Marshall Islands.

The SB2C that should be added to the game should be the SB2C-4 model as it added the ability to carry 5 inch HVAR rockets in addition to a more powerful engine.
