Smartphone App
« on: April 04, 2014, 07:07:42 PM »
Yeah yeah I know there's a trending thread on this.

Right now I'm starting to look into app making for phones. With the buzzing idea for an AH smartphone app, I thought maybe I could take a look at the possibilities. Here's my ideas so far.

- War and Country statuses
- Roster of online players
- Simple PM system
- Map including Dar Bars
- Text buffer

This would all be up to HTC. They are the people in charge and it's up to them if it will be done.

I'm just looking into this, so I'm going to need some extra help with a big project such as this.
No promises! :old:

Don't get hopes up.

I think if htc wanted it done, they would have done it themselves.

Well that could be true, but would they have the time to work on it and AH at the same time?

That would be great, but I don't think HTC would let an outside developer have that level of proprietary access.

When I get home from break I'll have to talk with HTC.

Unfortunately, you may be correct.  :(

creating the app itself would be nothing compared to the work htc would have to do to give access to that information.  and agreeing with brooke that htc would want to control the app themselves.

instead of asking other players what information they would like, perhaps you should start by approaching htc and ask if this is something they would be interested in doing in a partnership with you (or anybody else).

either way, it's cool you are looking into making apps.  some of them make a bit of money due to ads.
