Have you ever been to a hockey game? It's pretty much normal behind the play to see that kind of stuff all the time. It doesn't matter which team it is, they all play a bit ignoring the rules.

Also, if your going to condemn a TEAM for one action caught on tape your pretty naive about things in general.

I've played hockey my whole life. Cup checking behind the play is not normal. Also nice little scrum last night with Boychuck practically using Gionta's head as the puck in the corner. And then the in-the-line yapping from Lucic. Real classy bunch there.

All your life,,, whats that 4-5 years?

Pro and semi pro hockey is FULL of behind the play "plays". Hockey is NOT a boys sport.

Where you sanding close enough to Looch to hear what he said or are you going by what the other guy told the media? I'm sure Weise is such an upstanding person that he wouldn't possibly lie about what was said.

Of course Cookes hit on Savard was perfectly legal. What did he get, a few games and Savard STILL has problems never mind play again. The game of hockey is is very rough, and unless your at the games you see only a small part of whats going on.

Blaming a whole team and city because of that cup check is pretty pathetic.  Let me guess, you played a bit of amateur, maybe even jv in high school in the states and you think that means hockey is all about finesse and pansy toejam.

I hate to break your bubble, but hockey is a tough sport that makes these "bush league" and "slew footing" whiners of late look like the clueless fools they are.

Let me guess, you probably are in favor of removing fighting and support the move to shoot out nonsense as well as the 1 point rule for a loser?

Been playing and skating since I was 3, and am forgoing college for junior hockey next year, with the purpose of getting a college scholarship and playing hockey in college. I've played in plenty of physical games and have no problem with the game getting chippy. That doesn't include cup checking. People have done it to me before, but that doesn't make it normal or acceptable. Defending that type of behavior is just silly. As far as the in-line antics, you could pretty much read Lucic's lips from the camera, and not too difficult to imagine what he might be saying anyway. I don't think it was "Congratulations."

Never defended the action.  Was not there to hear the conversation either and am not a mind reader.  Right or wrong, Weise whining in public about it is just childish.  Man up and move on.

As for playing juniors, spend some time playing up in Coaticook, Sherbrooke, or pretty much any other blue color French town as an American and you might get a proper appreciation for the game.

Looks like Carey Price is going to miss the rest of the Conference Finals. I don't think Montreal will be able to recover from this.

That really sucks, and I agree with what you said. I was rooting for Montreal, but hope its still a good series nonetheless.

I make joke filled comments towards the hated Bruins but the Hawk/Bruin rivalry goes back a long way. And what fun is hockey if you cant hate some team? But they are a great organization with a huge and fanatic fan base. Im glad they lost and the Hawks will not have to face them but I also  :salute one of the original six. The Bruins are a terrific organization.

I dont want to scramble my eggs before they are out of the chicken but a Hawks/Rangers cup could be one for the books. Dont count out Montreal or the Kings but I dont think the Canucks can recover from their goalie loss.

Then again they are The Canadians. We'll see.

The Habs shouldnt have put the kid in net, well not the first time at home!   He hadnt been in net for over a month and you could see his knees shaking during the athems....

They could have played the backup,do recall his name,he shotout the rangers during the regular season, and if he got beat then throw the kid in when they go to NY.

Actually they should have put Vanek in net,he'd likely play better if they did.... :o

    :salute
