They do run a kickstarter fundraiser for a 1944 map and planeset. :old:

If that is modelled as The A10C ( and any other plane / chopper / tank and so on ) and online world together with being able To host more players simultaneously it might become what A lot of people look for. Full Sim FM, lot of eyecandy.....

Regarding The difficulties, use a Warthog joystick, maps itself To The A10C. Makers The plane a lot easier to fly  :devil ... And that 30 mm cannon..... :rock :rock :rock :O

 :joystick: :joystick: :joystick:

It is a lot fun.  hard though

The graphics in that video posted by the OP are beautiful.  I am going to try the free version.

Funny I think that DCS A10C is great and it really gives me some enjoyment in flight sims as are most of the others; some of the 3rd party developed aircraft are just OK but they are 3rd party builds.

I have a10c and the P51. A10 is more fun with all the weapons, 51 is more fun because i can fly it and not have to deal with computers and such. Plus i can remember how to cold start the 51 without 2 sheets of checklists

I downloaded the DCS World (free version) off of Steam last week. I liked it so much I bought the Flaming Cliffs 3 add-on to it. Been cruising around in the F15 and SU27 in single player mode the last several days, learning the electronics and targeting systems that go with it. Flying the planes is the easy part... learning the electronics and symbology is a beast on its own. It is definitely a lot to take in. The graphics are amazing too.

What concerns me is the whole thing running out of steam and disappearing before it realises it's potential  :old:

If they ever do an aircraft I am interested in I'll look at it.  Until then it is just too limited for what I want.

Pretty P-51 though.

I bought the UH-1 and must say it is quite realistic to me. It's a tad more difficult to hover than the real thing but it's very close.
I'd rather be flying!

Plazus, if you think FC3 is complex, wait until you give A10C a whirl.  It's a whole new level, probably the most involved combat flight simulation yet made.  The BRS Falcon mods can maybe give it a run for its money, but that's primarily due to the sensors and such in the Falcon sim.  The are all very impressive accomplishments IMO.

Kind of the same way. Let me know when they get to the F4U series.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
