Impress me. Tell me what it brought.
• Fix sticky bomb bug in bombers
  • Reduce ammo load in 109F (has double ammo)
  • Fix otto gunners in B25H/J Damage Model (they don't exist)
  • Correct armor in 109 series (109s are backwards for pilot armor)
  • Fix Center of Gravity (CoG) for the P47. Won't take off when heavy loaded, shakes apart.
  • Easy Mode CV landing bug.
  • Lower points awarded for destroying parked aircraft (changed from 1000 to 25 pts each.)
  • Added more terrain names
  • Update credit screen
  • Change the copyright to 2001 on all screens and update all text files.
  • Disable the INSERT key
  • Authorization Software (replaced the iLZ)
  • Otto gunner code revised, simpler strength settings
The two points that are in bold type are the reasons for the patch.  The rest of the stuff are bugs they've known about for a very long time, but never felt the need to fix.

Not able to launch a heave P47?  Hmmmmm.

You have lots of choices:

WB's is 24.95 a month~Software engine alittle outdated but still a fine online sim.

FAII is 9.95 a month~Don't know much about it but apparently the rockets are alittle overmodeled

AirWarrior III is 9.95 a month~ You'll puke after being spoiled by Warbirds or Aces High flight models.

Box Sims are about $50 bucks~ Go into an endless cycle of waiting for a release, only to be disappointed by alot of advertised features that never made it into the final release, and pay about $100 a month for your 'release date addiction'.

Lots of choices, only you can determine where your money is best spent.

CC AKDejavu. So it's a patch, not an update or upgrade persay. No new planes, major changes, new features or anythig like that? So to be truthful, I'm not impressed.

Actually, when all the suits got shown the door, they were able to ditch the Ilz, that is why they did 2.77.  Remember all of those bugs they are fixing are compliments of the developers of THIS game, iEN is just cleaning up their mess.

edit-There are 2 bugs that were created by the current regime, as far as I know-

1.  The ezmode carrier landing.

2.  Lower points scores for parked a.c.

The rest are all old bugs.

Gadfly, you evidently do not work in the software development field...regardless of who made the code, you'll always have bugs, and WBIII will show its true colors to the never-ending parade of bugs that invade software.  His point is...nothing has been done with WB's since HTC and others have left...

My point is, those bugs were never fixed by these guys, in all the years they knew about them.

edit(assuming they did know about them)

This even further proves your ignorance of software development.

I am still reporting bugs to the vendor on software we use to build military and commercial jets, that's been around since 1988 with my company....so your point is?

Gadfly are you friggin serious now?
Do you have any complains about the update frequency of HTC:s product today? lol.

Who cares if those minor bugs were fixed or not, the wb2.xx engine is outdated long ago..

It's just as appealing today as the computer you were lusting for 2,5 years ago.. Sure it did rock, but now you can just get something better for less money... (Compared to pay by hour of course.) I started my online sim career playing 2.75 and loved it. However when I saw AH I just couldn't find reasons why go back in time.

Only 3 could have been there
Btw have no idea if they were in 2.5 but they could have existed.

1. Fix sticky bomb bug in bomgers.
5. Fix Center of Gravity (CoG) for the P47. Won't take off when heavy loaded, shakes apart.
5. Easy Mode CV landing bug.

There other bugs
2. Reduced ammo load in 109F
3. Fix otto gunners in B25H
4. Correct armor in 109 series

Did not exist in our last version 2.5

The other items are not bug fixes but just changes. And btw the ILZ never was needed until after we left.

Thanks for replying, HT.  I didn't think that the 109f ammo/armor bugs were there or known about back then, but the COG and the sticky bomb(which, as an aside, I think is a feature, if the fighters guns jammed randomly too) were.  The cv ezmode, I didn't even know was there till they mentioned it.

Let's get one thing straight right now.  I like AH, I like the work the team does and did on WB.  What I do not like is the attitude of many AH players to WB.  Anytime I see roadkill about it on this board, I will reply, just like I would expect Rip to do on the AGW(and as I do too).  Don't take it personal in any event, but if you spout crap, expect to be called on it.

We are all lucky bastards with 2 real good games online and a bunch of others that meet different persons needs or wants.  There is no need to denigrate any one else's game.

I read a bunch of boards, and I have to say this one is the worst for ragging on other games.  If you don't like another game, don't talk about it.
