Giant Compass

Is there anyway to remove the giant compass in bottom left corner of the world map in-game. . .

I am attempting to do Pacific War planning but this giant compass is driving me insane as it is blocking a huge portion of the map.


[ I have zoomed in and out to get a better view it is still annoying and a nuisance. Also tried checking all the options off in the option menu when you right click.]

It's in the arena settings, under "view mode flags".
Uncheck "Navigational Aids"

Don't know why they added it.  Pretty easy to tell the directions from the clipboard map.

It's more precise than the center grey plane icon. Which on top is slightly deviating from the true heading you are flying by a few degrees.
I wish it was a player controlled option.
