This Tiger II was assigned to the 3rd company of s.Pz.Abt 503 in France in 1944. It was one of the first Tiger IIs built and featured a Porsche-built turret. This turret had a nasty shot-trap under the gun and carried a little less ammo so was soon replaced by the Henschel-built version used by the AH King Tiger.
