Gunnery Training
« on: May 25, 2014, 04:30:52 PM »
Hello All,

I am running some gunnery training and opening it up to the public.  It's the first part of a course I put together for VF-17 with some success.  Comments from participants (including veteran pilots) have ranged from "I learned things I never knew" to "I improved my hit percentage by 3%" to "I greatly increased the number of kills I'm getting."  It's just some gunnery basics and practice techniques that I walk through.

I'm running the basic course both Wednesday and Thursday this week the 28th and 29th at 7:30 Central Time meeting in the TA.  There is ONE slot left open for the Wednesday night session.  Thursday has a few openings left.

Please PM me if interested in reserving a spot for the course either night.

If interested, also please read the details of the course in the Help and Training thread here: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,362624.0.html

For those of us playing this game for well over a decade, Aces High is more of a social club. The game just provides the framework. I keep logging in for the people and Pipz was the kind that you keep coming to meet again.

I also have a terrain on the server (bombrang) that has a dive bomb practice range where you air spawn almost over the numbered targets, and includes a tank gunnery range using static tanks if you want to get into that.  Just thought I'd throw it out there if you want to expand your classes.

Cool, Ranger!  Didn't know about that.  I may have to check that out for the future.

Hello USCH,

This particular session is focused just on air-to-air gunnery, and is just an introduction, at that.

However, I have been thinking about doing a course on using manned guns, but don't have anything organized yet.  I am decent in the 88.  So, if you want meet up in the TA some time, I can give you some pointers/tips on that and practice it with you.  That may even help me develop a clinic on the subject.

Feel free to PM me about organizing a time to meet and work on the use of the manned guns.
