Just a headsup, we are closer to standing the squadron up!
We still have an eta of mid-September. And when it happens, I still need some help with dedicated trainers, some squadrons to help with dissimilar combat opportunities and then I want to form a weekly Titanic Tuesday so our Cadets have some action to plan.
Yesterday the Wing Commander for an active duty USAF F-16 wing agreed to provide some of his combat pilots to help train our cadets. Mostly what I want from these real world combat pilots is training on how to brief and plan missions and how to lead wing and division elements into a fight. For this they are uniquely suited. Candidly, I think these real world fighter pilots would get their lunch eaten in P-51s, Doras and Nikis by our best, hands down.
The next step in this is helping stand up other JROTC or youth squadrons across the virtual world. I would love to have squadrons form anywhere and everywhere. In time, we could have squadron fights and ultimately an annual Dueling League tournament, winner gets a trophy.
I'm expecting 20-30 regular sticks. I'll keep you posted.
