The 50 caliber nose guns with skip-bombing of 500lbers was found to be the most effective against shipping. The B25H would dive in, strafe the ship, release its bombs several hundred yards out and let the bombs skip across the water into the side of the ship.
I wish for the water surface to be changed so that skip bombing is possible in game.
It shouldn't only be on water, skip bombing was also used on land targets. It also shouldn't be limited to just skip bombing, masthead bombing was found to be more accurate and the preferred method for bombing ships.
