what is quite surprising is that 13 of my fighter kills were in a spit mkI

I thought it was good because it had the most guns..

There is some sound logic in that way of thinking  :old:

First tour, December 2006.
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

Know what makes me real sad? Looking at the list of pilots who killed me that tour, not a single one around anymore I don't think.

Out of the 60 pilots who killed me in my main ride of my "2 weeks", 11 were playing under the same ID in last tour. Some others still may under a different name.

Some of the more notable kilelrs of mine from tour 70 that don't show up any more include

betty
Ezeepns
Hoarach
Kazaa
MotleyCh

A player named MotCH has been in the LW lately. I'm going to go out on a  limb...

Redtop still posts on the 71st forum sometimes.

Possible. I was just quickly checking the IDs, not doing true detective works. And for the namechanges, many players went through at least one over the years, I can't track that at all,, I forget that kind of stuff even for the 'high profile' players a few minutes after they tell me. Extremely bad name memory on my side  :bhead

Unless it's the artist formerly known as tripl5 (now tosh), who always was so easy to spot in his many previous incarnations...  :devil

Yes. Although there was the 190A5 interval, and the P-38L interval, a few like that. Even I can't remain entirely unswayed by 70 years of ceaseless P-51 propaganda though  :D

EDIT: Yeah, apparently the Tours 87-95 the largest numbers of kills are in the 190A5. Don't quite know what I was thinking there TBH...

Brief love affair with the Ta-152 somewhere in there was well...some kind of period in there where I had more vehicle kills than anything else, which which I must assume was attributable to an alien force taking control of my mind.

For me, I count everything that wasn't landed as a death. I don't go by just the death numbers. Ditches, Captures, and Bails all count as well.

Took tour 78 for me to finally get more kills than deaths (4 months playing). Kept up this trend all the way to tour 100. Then tour 101-128 I took a long break from the game and almost didn't fly at all. Most tours saw less than 50 sorties. Came back in tour 129 and have been playing a fair amount since. What shocks me is I'm somehow holding more kills than deaths from tour 129 until now. I'm really baffled how this is possible with my flying style and intentionally augering several hundred mossi's at the start of the tours in order to wreck my score.

 :headscratch:
