Zoney was one of the first guys to take me under his wing and teach me Aces High.  He is the quintessential hunter with great SA and MA (map awareness).  Cheating with a second account isn't in his vocabulary or in his character.

Yes i concidered that. But it where still several sectors to hide that cv in and the guy knew in what part of the sector and also heading of the cv.

Completely unintentional finds while taking the back route to the strats is how some hidden CV's are found. I know that I have done that at least a dozen times.

I do belive there are cases where people cheats in order to get info about nmy. For example a guy in my team had the exact location of a hidden nmy cv that had been gone for hours w/o anyone from our team been near it. There werent any logical explaination to how that guy could know the pos of the cv.

I have actually seen several times a player on my team get disgusted and pm location of a hidden cv to someone on other team. These players have issues with hiding other teams stuff.

yes. But he just typed the pos at the vox and noone was even near the cv. It wherent on any route to any strats. My squad mate also thought it where something strange about it. It wasnt an obvious spot to hide the cv at.

Sadly, the squeekers that do all the PM'ing will never get it.  Plus they aren't on the BBS to see or hear how stupid they sound with their lame excuses.

Don't think I've ever asked "How did you find me?" to Zoney.  I'm usually asking how can we get rid of him.

How do you know I'm wearing a headband?  I still have my underwear on in that picture.  :headscratch:

I remember 4-5 years ago; I was sitting there watching the map drinking a beer when I noticed the V-squad were enjoying their NOE missions to obvious bases. There were only two logical bases on the map to NOE (from the bish horde brigade); A24 and A-25. There were fighters over A-24 already; and tank town being heavy on action A10 was out of the question, so I took off with a C-hog with two drop tanks and hovered at 10k above A24 about 15 miles northeast of the airfield.

I screamed on Country and 4-5 did lift to meet me; some were thinking I was using a shade; but nobody noticed anything until a Goon landed by town; then another goon; then another - someone in an La7 dispatched all 3; we knew they were coming.
4 of us seen about 10-12 sets of bombers escorted by 4-5 fighters; we all dove and about 95% of the horde bailed out.

I did love the colorful comments about how we "knew they were coming" - really wish those old films worked today; I would have a riot watching that one again.

Given my years in game, I can tell you that when it comes to hiding CVs

1. The maps are only so big....and stumbling across one is common place

2. The chess pieces all seem to hide them in all the same places.......Take the CV to the farthest possible corner of the map and hide it there
( Then the people looking for it can figure out the route to the farthest corner of a map...isnt that difficult from there, expecially when if its your countries cv your looking for. To narrow down what corner its in,  99% of the time its in the corners between the 2 countries that have interest in it...cutting the amount of corners to look in from 4 to 2.)

I know, i have found cvs that way several times. But this one where still on its way to the hiding spot and almost an hour of flying away from our nearest base.
