« on: July 28, 2014, 09:44:15 PM »
TU2s can atm dive on a cv like a 262 at almost 600 mph : anyone knows what was the REAL break up dive speed of these things ?

Time for the mandatory: Got film?
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

No, i got no proof, just sending ideas in the wind... :lol

Here is the film. (end of it are the TU2s (+drones ofc...) diving on cv.
Thats not 600mph ofc, but isnt it a very very high dive speed for a bomber (+drones keeping formation) ?

Film is not working?

worked for me.

As a side note, you can see the high speed drone warping problem very well in this film. Even if someone was able to catch up and attack them, they would warp out of his gunsight from one moment to the next.

Warping was bad............... the one plane I would like to see diving in formation (airbrakes deployed) would be the Pe2

450 mph was all I could push it to before it started falling apart. Also control is sluggish and if your to low you'll never pull out.

To most, that's irrelevant as long as the bombs blow up the CV

Not even making an attempt to fly realistically is not in my play book.
