A satellite uplink explains the latencies and it also explains why things would change.  Those uplinks are prone to errors during specific Sun cycles.  If that is the issue, you just have to ride it out.

Normal browsing would be fine, as those connections do not depend on real time data and can happily retry as many times as they need to get accurate data.  A real time game does not have such a luxury.

I'm going to have to troubleshoot this from the start, I don't fault HTC or anything, its just a problem along the way, I'm aware of the sun cycles and the problems they cause, but it is not a problem at this time of the year it usually doesn't start until late august or early sept from where I live.  yeah, i'll try and figure it out on this end, ill do one more clean and reinstall and see what happens.  I appreciate the efforts on your end on trying to resolve the issue, sincerely, thanks Skuzzy, Rosie for the help, i'll try and fix on this end.   when the initial problems started, it was when the new map was just changing over to the next one, just in and around that time.

still not working, this is no sun problem, or else you would have heard me harp about it now over the last 6 years I've been playing, either under FuFiter, PhoFiter, PhooFitr or FooFiter..I've been playing all these years under those names due to financial issues, and changing names, but no other issues...thanks for all the help though.

Loss of connection to the arenas is normally due to excess packet loss.  On a wireless connection, you are going to get more errors.  On a satellite connection, you will get even more errors in the data stream.

Why it changes can be almost anything.  A simple re-routing of power lines in the area where the relay antenna is located can cause it.  The possibilities are quite long.

Bottom line is this.  For some reason, you are experiencing more data errors which are interfering with the arena connection.  The high latencies also contribute.  I do not have any history to know if the latencies have changed, or not.
