New TV show "Scorpion"
« on: September 22, 2014, 09:02:28 PM »
What garbage, who writes this stuff?  had to bail after the 10 minutes.  I guess TV shows gave up researching, had they done so, they would have seen that the supposed problem, commercial aircraft suffering from a loss of communications failure for what ever reason, wasn't really a problem and Loss of Comm procedures developed 50 years ago and still in effect today would have resolved the problem without the need for "the Scorpion team" to save the day. I predict this show will be canceled within a few weeks.

Should have watched the whole thing.

At the end to 'save the world' the main character drives a Ferrari at 200mph while the waitress stands up in the car and receives a data cable from the co-pilot who has climbed down one of the u/c legs while the a/c is flying at naught feet. :x Oh yes, the Ferrari stops just inches from a barrier.

I'll watch anything with Katharine McPhee in it.  But holy crap that show was bad.  It won't last one season.

It was craptastic. The guy that owns that diner must get rich renting it out as a movie set. On a brighter note, did anyone watch The Blacklist? Holy cow it was good for a network show. Put it on HBO or Showtime and take off the hobbles. It would be greatness.

The blacklist is great! They just need to give it the funding that NBC never can. The only problem I have with it are the absolutely terrible special effects lol

Yes, I asked myself that question as well. In one of the scenes an airliner can be seen parked on the apron. Oh, and the Boeing has an armoured wing.

My wife and I watched Forever on our DVR last night. It was better than I expected. We will be recording the entire series. I was pleasantly surprised.

Well they didn't even get that right, since most large commercial aircraft land at around 140 to 155 Knots, that would have topped out the Ferrari at around 170 MPH, not 200 or so.  Hell, I did 120 in a  rabbit between LA and Vegas back in the day.

The trailer didn't even please me so I didn't bother. I thought the main character as an actor was bad and the whole plot of a super IQ genius squad saving the world was a little far reached. I heard something about this story being based of a true story, anybody know anything about that? Anyway I'm just gonna stick with my Hell on Wheels.

It was as bad as the movie Titanic II. The Ending was definitely the best part though.

It was sort of weird though, a few days later, Chicago is shut down because someone burned the FAA building...

I heard some radio guys talking about that....apparently, the fire was started by a disgruntled employee...upset because he was being transferred to hawaii.
