JG 11 devours Volunteer attack on A84
« on: September 20, 2014, 04:35:36 PM »
We attempted an indirect course from A95 to A84. Nearly half way to target the Luftwaffe strike force inbound for A114 flies right over our group. The radio became cluttered with calls of escort and Ju88s and we passed each other, a few scouts were in the area and not too long after we passed each other, the cavalry came in the form of JG 11 and claimed nearly all of our P-38s.

The way the squad just rolled in, I immediately identified them as JG11... couldn't have been any other group, We managed to get some (3) bombs on target and got a couple hangars. Not much you can do in those situations except break for the target and get what you can get before they take you behind the woodshed.

We had a frame like that in Frame 1, claiming 23 and getting overall top squad honors that frame. Just goes to show, in FSO sometimes you're the hammer and sometimes you're the nail.

Great Job Black Hearts! <S>
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Nef  :salute  We had scouts South and East of your target.  Wiley and i were the south scouts and we came north as soon as you guys were spotted.  We got there just as the lead 2 P38's had broken a bit free and i came in with a ton of smash and sank my claws in the lead.

It's a tough road you boys had to haul, was alot of fun mate, as usual.  I agree that it is pretty obvious when JG11 is in with you and try to imagine what that is like, must be very.............immersive... .........again  :salute

Yep. I thought I could outrun you, but you just kept closing. Good shooting.

That's just mean right there  :D  yeah, Molsman and I were on that last 38 and I crossed in front of him.  He only pinged me a couple of times but when I removed the 38's wing I collided with him, severely damaging myself.  I managed to get it all lined up on the runway, set it down, only to have it break a gear and veer off the runway by about 5 feet giving me a ditch and showing him as shooting me down......................aaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
