Northern Italy - 1944

Late 1944, the Wehrmacht, including the Luftwaffe were
in a desperate fight to stop the allied advance up the boot
of Italy.

B-24s and B-17s pounded targets in Northern Italy.
They were escorted by P51 Mustangs and P47s while
P38s and P47 fighter-bombers flew missions against
lines of communication.

Some good fights in there tonight.  Nice to see new faces, and reassuring to know that you can have more fun with 10 people who want to fight than with 200 who don't.

Us Avengers had a great time in the AVA last night, there were some good dogfights; that darned Trap is a slippery one to corner.  I found that particular terrain didn't have enough ground clutter for flight altitude reference during a low level fight, I plowed into a mountain once and came close another few times; is that an old terrain or maybe wasn't completely finished?  Looking forward to next Monday Night's set up..............

Definately was a fun time last night. Good fights and wingman flying. Hope to see more ferrets and maybe some guys from the 4th next Monday. I don't know the history of the terrain but perhaps the ground clutter was designed with GV fighting in mind.

This map is one of our newer maps designed to look like Northern Italy and has a tank ability . US Ranger did this map I think last year. We use this one a lot in our sets .
