kI-43 mg rof too high?
« on: September 21, 2014, 07:51:39 PM »
The syncronized ho-103 mg in the ki-43 in game has a rate of fire of approx. 810rpm. This seems high to me, wikipedia states the rof of the syncronized ho-103 12.7mm is 400rpm, and 800rpm unsyncronized. I see from older threads that the syncro'd ho-103 12.7 has about 800rpm in other planes as well. Anybody know what the dealio?

All synchronized Browning based guns (Ho-103 is Browning based) have too high a rate of fire in AH.

Also... keep in mind that the sound we hear, or the muzzle flash effects we see do NOT mean that equals the rate of fire of that gun.

The German 30mm Mk 108 is prime example.  The defualt sound is about 1/3 its actual rate of fire.  Check the sounds forums for a thread I started on the matter.  Thre is a file you can download to correct it.   :aok

... just sayin'
