Last night I managed to get the engine running all on my own! I unlocked the nose wheel and use differential braking to taxi to the runway. Using full afterburner I took off, retracted the flaps and spent the next five minutes figuring out how to raise the landing gear. When I finally figured it out I throttled back to military power and could enjoy a few minutes of flying around in the clouds before trying to find the airbase again. Having visually located the airbase I lowered my flaps and tried to lower the landing gear. After failing to lower the landing gear for about five minutes I gave up and bellied it in.
