Favorite plane of each series.

Post your all time favorite from each of the fighter series: 109s, P47s, 190s, F4Us, Yaks, P40s, Hurricanes, Spitfires, P38s, KI's, and A6ms.

Ill kick things off.


109E



Emil will always be my favorite of the 109 set because it feels like the true climax of the airframe(109F is often referred to as the best model). Although its the least capable 109 in the set I just can't get over the way it looks and how nicely it handles. The squared of wings really scream "Thousand year Reich". I also love this Skin in particular



Yak7



I've only recently started to dabble in the Russo rides and the Yak7 just looks and feels the way a Russian fighter should, Its not handicapped by some absurd 3500fpm climb rate. Yak9t is a pretty close second though.


190A5



This plane might be my favorite piece of German iron in the game. It is the lightest and most maneuverable 190 in game. With its incredible Roll rate and good rudder authority it can really surprise opponents in those slow speed fights. Seeing a 190A5 icon always brings a smile to my face because I know its a guy who's gonna try some of that pilot stuff


P47N



I love just about anything that weighs over 5 tons and has a big old fat Pratt'nWhitney. Although the D11(razorback canopy) is my favorite Jug in the looks department, the N just feels more comfortable to me while riding the stall buffer. In my experience its by far the most underestimated Jug, when light on fuel it can climb nearly as well as the p47M. I also feel that it absorbs damage better than any other Jug, which makes it great for ripping people out of their field Ack.

P40C



I love everything about the P40C, its crippling power loading, its medicore gunpackage, its detrimental deck speed. When I Think of a World War II plane, this is the bird that pops in my mind before any others.


F4U-1





My favorite ride period. Mabye it is the least capable of all the Hogs, but its by far the most dangerous looking.





Other rides I don't feel like being all dramatic about.

P38J-Awesome gun package, crazy climb rate, and always an attention seeker which is what I love .

Hurricane MKII- 12 .303s  that is all

A6M3- Nice roll rate and a little more ammunition to work with.

KI61- good ride, but it looks like it belongs in a DOS program.

Spit14- Its my favorite purely for cosmetic reasons, I like the longer nose and the 5 bladed prop looks sick.

109F for me obviously. It's simply the best fighter. Not only of the 109 series but of any plane ever.
P-47's it's tough to decide between the D11 and N. The N is a beauty of a fighter but you just gotta love the classic razorbacks
190A5 easily, though the D-9 is a close contender (sorry Debrody  )
I don't like carrier fighters. Their wings are usually bent . SBD is best carrier bird though
Yak's its close between the 9U, 9T, and 7b. I love the speed of the 9's and the T's 37mm is so much fun, but the 7b handles beautifully as well!
P-40E. Don't know why, I just like that one the most.
I don't fly Hurri's or Spits, but I'd say the Hurri 1 or 2 with the 12 303s  . Spit has to be the classic Spit 1. Those wings look so much better without the 20mm's sticking out of them
P-38G. hands down the best 38 there is.
Ki-84. I thank Ink for getting me interested in this plane. It's a beast!
I don't fly A6Ms, but the 3 was pretty fun in that one FSO I flew it in.

110G - Always underestimated which is surprising..... and at the same time oh so satisfying.  Turn and climb below 5K tends to surprise the "superplane" crowd.  It can get it's nose on you surprisingly fast....and while it can't keep it's nose on you for long, with the firepower it carries it doesn't need to.   

Seafire - The only Spit I will fly regularly.  Doesn't turn or accelerate as well as a Spit V, not as dweebishly capable as a Spit IX/VIII, not a ridiculous super plane like the Spit XVI.  Saves me from having to up a Blue Navy plane when upping from a CV.  What's not to like? 

Typhoon - Underestimated often.  Great fun, nice speed and nasty guns.  One of the best planes in the game below 8K if used correctly.

Yak3 - If only it had more ammo / I was a better shot 

A6M3 - The best of the zekes.....period.  Great fun in the LWMA....but good luck landing those kills you gobble up. 

P47-D11 - Best dogfighter of the 47s IMO.  I hate .50 cals wish a passion so I don't fly it as often as the others.
