Fiulm Viewer and Fraps
« on: January 02, 2015, 05:08:35 PM »
This is really a Fraps issue but some-one may know the answer as it relates to what fraps records when playing the film viewer.

When using the film viewer with the information columns and other controls visible I find that fraps records the video window only. This is when the AHfilm viewer is either in a window or maximised window (not full screen mode). If I use Fraps when the film viewer is in a window, Fraps records my desktop and the film video pane, but the film viewer control although visible while using Fraps are invisible on playback and the area of desktop behind is recorded!

Is there a way to record the controls part of the AH film Viewer at the same time?

The plus side of this is I can play the Film in AH Film viewer (maximised) operating the controls such as internal external views chase etc. while recording with fraps and the finished recording in fraps is full screen video magically expanded over the controls area!

set your FRAPS to monitor areo desktop (DWM) from the main menu. This will film the whole AH viewer then set it back to only record the film within the box.

Nope didn't work for me. I tried Reloading Fraps after checking the DWM and all I got was the active video window.

I also need to correct my original post because at no time while running AH Film viewer am I recording the desktop, so even when in a window Fraps only records the video the film viewer is playing. (With or without DWM checked).

Start recording before you open AHFilm.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.
