MI24 shot down by Manpads

An interesting thread here last year about the survivability of the Hind vs manpads yielded no verifiable footage or data/links of an Mi24 ever being completely brought down by a Manpads.  Gscholz was right back then, most every example anyone could find showed the Hind surviving despite being plowed by a Manpads missile.  Now obviously we all know that the Stinger HAD to have killed some of them during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the 10 year long war afterwards, it's just that there is little to no proof out there.  Recent wars with the advent of every man and his dog having a camera phone now have still yielded little evidence of the Hind being taken right out.

Until today.  No idea what model of missile this was, but it was a very low trajectory shot, it's pretty impressive in terms of performance, how quickly the thing locked on, and how fast it hit the target.  Unfortunate for the Hind crew of course.  I wonder what type of Manpads system this was, as the effect on target was very impressive.

It was most like a Russian built manpad that brought down the Armenian Mi-24.  This is a conflict that has Russian sitting on both sides.  Publicly, the Russians support (politically and militarily) the Armenians, having a large base within Armenia and training and supplying the Armenian forces and in more than one occasion, even getting involved militarily on the side of the Armenians.  The Russians also sell weapons to the Azerbaijan government, as the Russians are one of their primary sources for military weapons.

You can hear the thing begin to lock 10 seconds before he fires. Mi-24 carry flares?

Unfortunate Armenians.
