Been asked many times. But the biggest thing is the water in game. It would have to be modeled differently.
From what's been shown us so far, the new graphics will. What the PBY would need, just at much, are more floating targets to scout/sink (ala Black Cats). Random spawning of troop transport ships and freighters? Oh, and I guess night brought back to do it in. That would necessitate a good Japanese night fighter/bomber interceptor.
P.S. I think all A/C wishes should be done in pairs as balancing opponents for events, first, and new elements for the MA, second. (To OP - there's never 'enough said' in a wishlist forum. The what should always be accompanied with the how and why. That makes it easier for the potential of when to be considered.)
