no, actually is because i dont waste them on some stupid 262 suicide run.  there was a guy that I knew that would up a tempest every time he got enough perks for one and he would die within 10 minutes.

and btw 80% of the players have been around for more than a couple of years and yet they dont have thousands of perks.  what does that tell you.

You keep changing your argument. You JUST said you use 262s to find cvs then bail, and now you say you don't waste perks on some stupid 262 run? You say you have thousands of perks. Considering the highest a P51 can earn from 1 kill with a standard multiplier is 1 perk (not counting b29), you would have to have over two thousand kills, which takes a long time to accumulate (not even counting the 262s you say you use to find cvs). Unless you are some sort of killing machine (I have met you in the MA and can say that is for sure not true), then my assumption is correct.

Oh and you know what they say about statistics, 98.4% of all statistics are made up on the spot  :aok

Ok 80% of players, I see.

But what about you, if you said you fly P51's which are low ENY and produce little perk gain, you don't waste your perks on perk-planes, the only possible reason you could have so many perks is because of a lengthy amount of time played?

Especially considering that P51's are your main ride.

no, i said i have been known to use 262 to find cv's then bail.  while now I dont waste perks points.   I have about 8k perk points in fighters same of bombers and about 1700 for gv's.    my excuse for the low perks on gv's is because i bought the chfighterstick and I could never calibrate it for gv's.  and htat was about 2 or 3 years ago.

I don't now what at this point the discussion is actually about... but I like numbers.

So digged up some data and found that semp had earned on average about 2 - 2.5 fighter perks per hour of flying in 2013.
Don't know if that proves or disproves any point currently being made...

(How I did find that?  Achievements told me how long it did take to earn 500 perks ... from 2/1/2013 to 11/19/2013 and scores showed me the hours flown in that time)

Oh the stuff you do at 6.a.m...   :bhead

You could use a mouse and keyboard for gv's if you want.

Unless you have that kinda setup where it's much like a real cockpit. I dunno where those people have their keyboards.

"Have been known" does not imply no longer doing it. And no one mentioned gv or bomber perks. This is about fighter perks. In your second post you answered my question, you have many perks because of the amount of time you have been playing. The reason I asked you how long is because in your original statement that you have thousands of perks while flying the P51, you make it seem like the way you got those perks was through some other means then pure time ("ask me how I got them, not how long it took"... lol what?). Anyone can fly anything and have thousands of perks given enough time. Given a certain time frame such as a tour changes this greatly.

Looking at your achievement you earned 500 perks in slightly over 9 months.   :rofl

500 perks in 9 months, let me break it down for you.  I tore the ligaments on my left foot at work.  that was back in April 7.  waited 2 months for my x55 to be available. had to get used to it as I couldnt use my pedals.  then again. even though i was on limited duty i was still working 6 days a week.  oh did I tell you than 2 months i hardly play?  took me another couple of months to get used to the pain of having torn ligaments.  then i even hardly played because of the pain on my ankle.  hold on did i tell you than it was really painful to play with my torn ligaments.?

so yes 500 perks in 9 months sound about right. so is 900  perks in 9 months with a lot of pain on your ankle a good job or a bad job.  I'll let you decide.

semp

edit: not including in the 9 months was the car accident I had which didnt let me play for almost a month.

so which part are you laughing about?

what do you waste them on then? They just keep accumulating on my account even when I go strafing radars and GVs with 262s. About 13,000 fighter perks in 2.5 years, that is over 400 perks a month. Most of my kills are in an ENY=30 plane, so with landing bonuses I get about 3+ perks per kill (killing a lot of common low ENY fighters) and get between 100 and 200 kills per tour, so that is consistent.

I have no idea how many bomber perks I have. Once I got my first 30 to get into a Mosquito XVI I never lost a single bomber perk, so they are meaningless to me (yes I do fly the mossie XVI occasionally, a single one is just nearly unstoppable). I dont even have my game set up for GV driving (what is the acceleration key?) so I dont need GV perks.
Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.
