SD card question

I have five SD card's and can not get the pic's to delete . Telling me it's locked . I tried to unlock them but still can not delete the pic's . Any idea's ? Even doing it on a new one I got and I have the slide set to the unlock position .

Sounds like the card reader is whacked..

Have you tried other card readers and/or your camera to delete/format the cards?

 No APDrone I have not . I am using them on a trail camera and then put it right into the PC . My camera went on the blink a while back and have no other way to try them .

Take them to Walgreens or CVS. They should be able to pull the pictures off.

Well, aside from getting a new card reader, the only other thing I could suggest is possibly putting a piece of tape on the SD card to hold the lock button toward the front of the card.  Your card reader might have something tripping the sensor into thinking it's locked when it isn't.

If the camera can still write to it, then the card is probably ok.  But you said the camera went on the blink.. so, it's not like you really need to delete the pics, if you don't have anything that will be writing to them..  

<edit>.. wait, you're reading the trail camera straight into your PC to get the pics?

OK APDrone , I well give the tape a try .
EDIT: They are full and well not take any more pic's .
